I bought these to use with charcoal powder toothpaste. They came up as a suggestion to buy with it. I know, they don't "have" to be used with it.... However; I use an electric toothbrush and I accidentally bought the standard bristle instead of soft (curse you, vaguely written seller on amazon!!) so I wanted something that would be gentle to use with a possible more abrasive "paste" anyway, so I lazily bought the suggested item... SO happy i did as these are PHENOMENAL!! They are like brushing with a pillow! So they are not so soft that they don't do anything, but they are very soft and plush in the sense that they get in all the nooks and crannies with all those seemingly extra bristles. With the charcoal toothpaste, it can make your toothbrush look like you were scrubbing a toilet after you use it for a while... but not with these. Because they are black (they have charcoal in the fibers) they hide the fact that you are brushing with a substance that is black as my soul.... oh wait.. never mind.... let's get back to the review.... Anyway... Yes, these are great for brushing, I would also HIGHLY recommend these for use for anyone with sensitive teeth, kids, etc. There is no limit to what they could be used for. I would also use these outside of brushing- they would be good for cleaning things like jewelry that is fragile as well. I am also thinking of using a spare for my dog- she hates getting her teeth brushed, but all of the pet brushes are so industrial! She doesn't mind the paste or things in her mouth, just the brush. So, I would gander this soft beauty would solve that as well. Over all, I would say that Colgate needs to bring this item to the US and market the crap out of it! We need these here.
