Its just green bentonite clay. To be honest the type you can get pretty much anywhere but the good thing is that its very cheap and nothing else is mixed in it. So those are the big selling points.
I always use a thick layer and it doesn't take much material to make enough to cover my whole face. Well honestly this is the only face mask I use and for me the 2 lb jar lasted over a year in the past.
Definitely mix it with vinegar. It's so smooth and creamy if you do, plus it's fun to see it bubble up. Water works in a pinch, but you'll never get it completely smooth, even if yo use your fingers to try to squish out all the clumps.
It will make your face "pulsate" as claimed, even if it's only because it pulls your skin so tightly that you can feel your pulse throughout your entire face.
And your face will be red when you take it off, as others have noted. That always disappears within 30 minutes or less for me.
DO NOT think you can just rinse this off down the sink drain. Pick as much of it off your face as you can, and dump it in the trash. Use a soft wet cloth to remove whatever it left on your face. It will clog your drains if you try to rise it down the sink. It's clay. Be smart.
It works wonders on blemishes. If used before bed, I will wake up the next morning with gloriously soft skin, and any blemishes dried up and already mostly healed. Add a couple of drops of tea tree oil to help with that, if you like.
Just buy it. I promise you won't be disappointed.
